Cooked this delicious, tangy ‘Lemon Pepper Chicken’ recipe on this weekend and I must say, this is one of the easiest recipe to cook especially for those amateur- bachelor, busy bee chefs in the kitchen. Its easy, quick and heavenly delicious. So, without wasting more time, lets get going with our today’s drool worthy recipe.
Chicken Marination Ingredients:
|Chicken (large pieces with bones)||400 gms|
|Salt||2 tsp/As Per Taste|
|Crushed Pepper (coarse granules)||1/2 tsp|
|Lemon Juice||1 tbsp|
|Thick whisked curd/yogurt||1/2 cup|
|Garlic Paste||1.5 tsp|
|Ginger Paste||1.3 tbsp|
|Whisked curd/plain yogurt||3 tbsp|
|Thick Fresh Cream||3 tbsp|
|Crushed Pepper||1/4 tsp|
|Green Chilies (slit)||4|
|Garam Masala Powder||1/2 tsp|
|Butter- a dollop||1 tbsp|
|Coriander leaves (finely chopped)||1 tbsp|
|Salt||If needed (As Per Taste)|
- Crush the black peppercorns.
- Marinate the chicken pieces with items indicated. Mix & set aside for 1 hr.
- Whisk the curd/yogurt.
- Slit the green chilies and fine chop the coriander leaves.
Step 1: Heat oil & butter in a flat pan and add the whole spices.
Step 2: Once it splutters, add the marinated chicken, pour rest of the marinade & fry on high heat for 2-3 min and then flip the chicken pieces.
Step 3: Continue to fry for 2-3 more mins on high turning the pieces a few times.
Step 4: Cook till the liquid has nearly dried and the chicken is tender & evenly browned.
Step 5: Now reduce the heat to low, add the whisked curd/plain yogurt, 1/4 tsp crushed Pepper, Garam Masala Powder, thick fresh cream, slit green chilies and mix everything well. Slow Simmer.
Step 6: Garnish with finely chopped coriander leaves . Cover & cook on low heat for 5 mins. and serve hot.
